Local anesthesia before hair transplant
Local anesthesia is sufficient for hair transplant and two types of a local anesthesia are used to ensure the procedure is pain free.
The preparation of the patient and anesthetization phase is the initial stage of the procedure. Local anesthesia is considered most suitable as it’s a minimally invasive procedure and performed on the very first layer of the skin. Anesthetization is very simple where the patient experiences mild pain which gradually disappears as the anesthesia takes effect.
Following the procedure, patients can leave the hospital immediately and return to normal life, provided they follow the instructions and guidance set out by the clinical specialist.
By contrast, traditional methods of direct anesthesia are known to have caused considerable pain during and after the procedure. Specialists ensure general anesthesia is not used to avoid the cause of side effects and possible post operative complications.
