Eyebrow transplant
Eyes and eyebrows are one of the most important facial features. Moreover, eyebrow and eyelash transplant are microsurgeries that require precision and skill, although they are performed in short order.
Eyebrow transplant is recommended for those who have eyebrow loss or thinning as a result of genetic factors, burns, wounds or consumption of medications that lead to eyebrow loss.
Eyebrow transplant is performed under local anesthesia in a short period of time ( 2-3 hours).
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method is used in hair transplant using a micro motor. Follicles are removed from the donor area, and then implanted in the thinning eyebrow or the affected area.
How is eyebrow hair transplanted?
The appearance of the eyebrow is determined after the patient’s consultation with a cosmetic surgeon. The length, width and the shape of the eyebrow is determined by the patient. However, the most appropriate shape that is consistent with the face must be taken into consideration. The doctor will guide the patient through choosing the most suitable shape of the eyebrow transplant.
Follicles can be harvested from different areas of the body. However, it’s better to extract them from the back of the head (the donor area). If necessary, a small area is shaved to facilitate harvesting follicles.
