Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that removes hair follicles from the back of the head, also known as the donor site, to the bald scalp or beard as necessary.

If the client has a patchy beard, hair is transplanted and distributed according to the density of the site surrounding the patchy areas to make them look natural and consistent. On the other hand, if the client doesn’t have a beard, the density and shape of the beard is determined by him.

Between 1000 and 4500 hair follicles can be transplanted according to the shape of the beard, as determined by the client.

Doctors recommend wearing loose clothing. It is important that you don’t wear clothes that need to be pulled over your head – this will prevent dislodging the graft immediately after the surgery.

The first stage begins with a consultation to conduct the necessary medical tests and obtaining the medical history of the patient and the family. • Avoid going out in the sun after the procedure or during the first stage of the recovery period.
• You must sleep with your head elevated at 45 degrees.
• Pay attention not to touch any of the grafts
• Clean your scalp in the right way, as advised at the clinic and wash your hair according to the guidance provided.
• You must not expose the head to harsh weather conditions during the first few days following surgery.
• Strenuous exercise must be avoided for at least six weeks.
• Smoking must be avoided or reduced for at least two weeks’ post-surgery.
• Adhere to the dosage of medication recommended by your doctor.
• Avoid any hair care products other than those recommended by your doctor.
• Avoid using hairspray, gel or having your haircut.
• In the event of complications, you should contact your medical consultant immediately.

Local anesthesia is considered most suitable as it’s a minimally invasive procedure and performed on the very first layer of the skin. Anesthetization is very simple where the patient experiences mild pain which gradually disappears as the anesthesia takes effect.

Alcohol:

Avoid alcohol for at least the first two weeks after the procedure.

Coffee:

It’s not recommended to drink coffee directly after the procedure. However, it varies from person to person.

Saturated fat and processed food:

Doctors prohibit these types of food as they can have adverse effects on the body and hair. Chocolate, chips and canned foods must also be avoided.
